Looking At The Mountain, not asking for mole hills

 Luke 11:29-32The Sign of Jonah29 When the crowds were increasing, he began to say, “This generation is an evil generation. It seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah. 30 For as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. 31 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. (ESV)Lord of mercy and goodness; forgive me for wanting "signs" of YOUR love and care outside the great "SIGN" of your death for my sins and resurrection from the dead. I want to use YOU as some type of "god genie" to give me my selfish wishes and to put YOU to foolish tests and YOU want to show me the depth of my moral rebellion and the greatness of YOUR love and power. YOU are profound in YOUR vision and I am superficial and secular in mine. LORD of compassion and patience; forgive me my insanity.Lord, the queen of the South could see YOUR wisdom in Solomon with all of his flaws and Nineveh repented based on the preaching of the uncaring and condemning Jonah. YOU have come to me in perfect righteousness and love. YOUR ministry is perfect. YOUR attitudes are love incarnate. YOU have sacrificed all for me. How can I now doubt YOU or demand of YOU?LORD Messiah Jesus, KING of kings and LORD of lords, help me see in my head and heart, soul and spirit, and my conscious and subconscious mind YOUR greatness. Shine the light of YOUR gospel into the core of my being and out of that drive the evil unbelieving and selfish attitudes out of my soul. Amen
