Prayer for today

Great Savior, High Priest, Eternal Wisdom, Ultimate Prophet, resurrected King of kings and Lord of lords, Messiah Jesus allow our hearts and minds today hear YOUR voice to come and follow YOU.
LORD, when YOUR call comes to us it empowers us to get up and follow YOU. In YOUR calling comes the SPIRIT to open our eyes to see YOU, our ears to hear YOU, and our hearts to believe in YOU.
So now revive, renew, and restore to us a true and real response of following YOU as our hero, friend, LORD, and Savior.
Raise up a new generation of true disciples in every nation and as part of that grand universal work raise up in me a more sane, stable, sober, and spiritual faith that follows YOU in every aspect.
LORD, make me YOUR true disciple.
Convert every aspect of my heart, mind, soul, and spirit Holy Spirit come and transform me more and more each day into the likeness of Jesus.
Raise up a company of true believers who can in the unity of love and truth know how to share YOU with others in word, deed, and attitude.
Strip us of our own ignorance, vulgarities, insanities, prejudices, rudeness, and incarnate in us YOUR compassion, wisdom, WORDS, grace, patience, and transforming power.
Show us how to effectively be the salt and light for this generation. To be the presence of YOUR LOVE and TRUTH in every word, deed, and attitude. Help us restrain evil in all its forms.
Grant us to seek first YOUR kingdom and righteousness and not simply echo some part of the culture that we find most suitable to us. Help us not to ask you to bless what we like or support but help us seek to understand what gives YOU joy and support YOU in YOUR will. Allow our loyalty be to YOU and YOU alone.
Renew our minds so that we may think YOUR thoughts after YOU.
Change our hearts so that we may understand the world deeply thru YOUR eyes.
Tear down every stronghold in us and every clever lie that deceives us.
Show us how to effectively love our enemies.
Protect and provide for the 260 million Christians who live under persecution this day and cripple those who hate them in their efforts to kill, steal and destroy them.
Convert millions of Sauls to become Pauls, showing to all the world YOUR power to save the most unsavable among us.
Allow our hearts to be encouraged by the sacrifice of these YOUR people who live under such harsh and abusive treatment to believe that YOU will also allow us to endure to the end should such times come upon us as well.
LORD comfort the mourning, give hope to the hopeless, give strength to the overwhelmed, and wisdom to the doubting.
Save our prodigal children who now live in the far country and seem lost beyond all hope of salvation. Good shepherd, find them, pick them up, and carry them home.
Please we beg YOU make them YOUR disciples and call them by name through the power of YOUR SPIRIT and WORD!
YOUR kingdom come and will be done.
