Feeling Loved

Romans 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;

we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, (ESV)

39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (ESV)

"No condemnation now I dread, for Christ, and all in him, is mine! Alive in him, my living Head, and clothed in righteousness divine, bold I approach the eternal throne and claim the crown, through Christ, my own. "

Lord Messiah Jesus, many times I feel that I have been cut off and abandoned by YOU and that YOUR love no long reaches me.  Yet, YOU proclaim loudly and tenderly to me that such impressions are not true or real.

Under the weight and pain of all the circumstances that crush me YOU are there with me.   I am not abandoned.  I am loved.  I am embraced.

Good and great Messiah and LORD, I don't feel like a conqueror today.  The idea of victory is very far from me.  I focus on surviving and not thriving.  YET, you proclaim that I have already won in YOU.  YOUR victory is my victory.  Transferred to my life account.  Failure is no longer an option.  I have been successful in YOU.

Help me to believe in the inability of the devil to defeat YOU or me.  Grant me the faith to believe the great news of YOUR defeating the dark lord in  YOUR death and resurrection.  Now all the evil in the universe cannot separate me from YOU or YOUR good plan for my life.  Drive the lies of darkness into the YOUR light and let them fade away into the shadows of nonexistence.  They are not real.

Thank YOU dear LORD, for having such a conquering love for me.  A love that cannot be defeated or deflected  YOUR LOVE, full of grace and infinite in power.  Today let me live in the light of that LOVE.  Amen
