Lord, be my refuge (Psalm 31)

Meditation on Psalm 31Great God, be my refuge, rescuer, rock, Savior, and fortress. Hear my cries to YOU and deliver me in YOUR mercy and consistent faithfulness.You are my stability and protection and have committed YOURSELF to guide and direct me through the difficulties and struggles I face. Into YOUR hands I commit my heart and well being. YOU are my faithful redeemer.YOU have saved me from the traps and power of the dark lord who desires to kill, steal, and destroy my soul. YOU have kept me from the illusions of false gods and give me faith in YOUR truth. I trust YOU LORD, forgive my lack of trust.You see my affliction and distress. YOU understand me. As I remember YOUR eternal and infinite unending love for me I find joy in this reality.I need YOUR grace, mercy, and understanding today. I find myself in times of distress, difficulty, sorrow, and weakness. I feel like I am wasting away. I need YOUR forgiveness and renewal. Revive me I pray and help me to have fresh wind and fire. Show me solutions to the unsolvable problems I face. Help me find YOUR wisdom. Give me courage to do what must be done.Defeat the schemes of the evil lord of darkness and destroy all the plots to keep me from YOUR purpose for my life.My life is in YOUR hands my dear SAVIOR. Rescue me, make YOUR face shine on me and save me in your steadfast love. I call upon YOU for YOU are my HOPE.YOU are my abundant goodness. Help me live is wise and loving fear of YOU and therefore rest in YOU as my one safe place.May the goodness, greatness, and grace of the faithful God be demonstrated before all creation and praised for YOU have heard my cries for help and pleas for mercy. YOU have never failed me.LORD give to YOUR people a greater and greater love for YOU. Preserve our faith and give us strength and courage this day to follow YOU.Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy. Amen
